News Title: BirdieBall Supports Colorado Junior Golf Experience

Colorado Junior Golf would like to extend a special thank you to BirdieBall for their assistance at Colorado Junior Golf Experience held at the 2009 Denver Golf Expo.

"Without the assistance of a great company like BirdieBall the Colorado Junior Golf Experience would not have come together." said Dustin Jensen, Director of Youth Programs for the Colorado Golf Association.  "The staff at BirdieBall not only donated thousands of dollars worth of inflatable equipment, they donated a logoed ball to every junior that attened the event."

Founded in Golden, CO Birdie Ball Inc, is the dream of a couple of guys (John and Paul) who love golf. So much so that we want to take golf to the streets. In fact, that is our mission. Golf should be fun for everyone who wants to play it. It should be convenient, and accessible to youth, women, fathers and sons, and golfers like us, who simply want to improve their game.

If fun and golf are words in your vocabulary, please join us in taking golf to the streets.

The BirdieBall was developed in Golden by a father and son team of entrepreneurs, Richard and John Breaker. After two years of research and design, the two were finally ready to introduce their new ball to the public. The BirdieBall store, at The Colorado Mills in Lakewood, Colorado opened in April of 2003 as a place for people to try the amazing device. The store is an interactive environment where people can come experience the ball first hand. In short order tens of thousands of balls were sold from this single location. This success led to a grand unveiling at the PGA Merchandise show in January of 2004. After winning a new product award BirdieBall has been making headlines around the world. John Breaker’s long-term vision for the BirdieBall includes at home practice, family golf games, golf instruction, corporate identity and of course “taking golf to the streets.”

Rest Your Way to Success

That’s right! One of the biggest problems I see with junior golfers is a lack of adequate rest. Your coaches, your parents and the industry say practice, practice, practice! Well research, and me, says rest, rest, rest! Yes there is a time for training and practice, but as important as that time is, rest is almost more important, and here’s why… When you train and practice your body spends a lot of energy and needs time to replenish its supplies; it requires neurological repair; requires muscular repair; requires mental repair; and requires all of the repair that your body has to manage as well!

So I beg you! It is GOOD to rest if you are tired, and remember these two rules:
1. If you are training or practicing and you are less than 90%, then go home and take a day off!
2. Check your morning heart rate each morning to get familiar with what your norm is. If you wake up one morning and your normal heart rate is plus or minus 10 beats from your norm, then take the day off.
