What is Colorado Junior Golf?
Colorado Junior Golf is a web site that is designed to serve as a central location for all junior golf programs within the state of Colorado. It is a collaborative effort between the junior golf entities within Colorado whom have come together to form the Colorado Junior Committee.

Who is involved in Colorado Junior Golf?
Participants of the Colorado Junior Golf Committee include the Colorado PGA, CGA, CWGA, CJGA, USGA, Gold Crown, First Tee, Open Fairways, LPGA/USGA Girls Golf, Pikes Peak Junior Tour, Northern Colorado Junior Tour, and local chapters of the Optimist International Tournament and the Big I Championship.

Who should I contact if I have questions about junior golf or am not sure what would be the best fit for my junior?
Questions can be directed to the staff of the Colorado Junior Golf Association.  The CJGA staff will assist you in determing which program(s) would be the best fit for your specific needs. You can reach the CJGA staff by call 303.366.4653 ext. 3 or 1.800.228.4675 ext. 3.

What is the Colorado Junior Golf Experience?
The Colorado Junior Golf Experience was created to give young people an opportunity to feel the game of golf by putting, chipping and taking full swings.  The Experience will serve three purposes; first, it will give kids an opportunity to “Experience” the game by actually making contact with a ball, second giving kids an avenue to find out more about programs (ColoradoJuniorGolf.org) and finally to play the game (Par 3 Punch Card).  Each attendee will receive a goodie bag that includes a Par 3 Punch Card which allows the junior to play 10-12 par 3 courses at no cost, with a paid adult.  Juniors ages 16 and under will be admitted into the Denver Golf Expo at no charge.

Hit the Smart Shot

Think better around the course. Golf is an obstacle course. Hit the shot you know that would turn out acceptable 7 out of 10 times. If you can’t pull off a shot 7 times out of 10 then don’t hit it. There are shots in every round where you should be aiming to the generous part of the green or even purposefully missing the green because trouble lurks too close to the pin. You’ll need a short game to help you get through the day but at least you won’t be taking penalty strokes because you bit off more than you could chew. You won’t know it but at the end of the tournament when you look up at the scoreboard to compare how well you did to the rest of the field you will have beaten many, if not all, because you simply thought your way around the course better than everyone else. Pride yourself on strategic thinking.
